I like that the population is healthy too, those numbers were actually normal way back in the day. Like, that's it, just the addition to weapon proficiency in the Horde races and that's a fairly minor complaint at that. I'd say my only complaint at all is the racials, namely that Vanilla+ spoiled me a tiny bit, with the Undead having the racial skill that boosts swords the same was Orcs get boosted Axes, Taurens got the same for both kinds of Maces. I ended up joining some time last night and I'm already enjoying the server so far. It was at first, but by Wrath, everyone had an idea of how classes and specs functioned which of course makes things easier. It's just people's nostalgia goggles making them think Vanilla is harder than Wrath. Now you've got vanilla private servers where people know all about world buffs, consumables, what talents to spec for each raid tier, the mechanics of every boss inside and out, all you have to do is follow the instructions laid out in a step-by-step fashion as if you were cooking a recipe that is so well-documented, it's all-but impossible to fuck-up unless you're high, drunk, or really fucking dumb. It's just that things take longer and the RNG is slanted less in your favor in Vanilla than WotLK and some people confuse that for things being hard. Vanilla was hard in the beginning before everyone knew what to do, back in the days of keyboard turning, no real macros or guides to follow. It's not like a heavily-documented 15 year old game can qualify as hard these days.
I don't know why you're being down-voted. Overall the player base is pretty darn good, except for a few tryhards that don't really understand why the server exists and like to complain that things aren't moving fast enough. The schedule is subject to change based on the bugs they encounter and the items they are having to fix. They have the calendar posted on the website and also on discord for when they will be rolling content out. The 39 cap has been in place for, I think, 6 weeks. To encourage players to do more of the content at lower levels and to allow them to continue to fix things they have instituted a level cap. They're actively fixing bugs and literally rewriting subsystems based on the performance and experiences of this server.
How to use gm skills fiesta private server code#
Having an ongoing live server with the most recent code where the developers can see in real time how things are running allows them to evolve the code much faster. The goal is to run a server where all of the enhancements are rolled back into the main source code tree, as opposed to the majority of private servers that do not contribute their work back. It is a server run by the developers of the leading open source server project for wrath of the lich king. But why the fuck would anyone trust Blizz not to milk the shit out of the community?Ĭan we please get Nostalrius back? PepeHands The slippery slope argument can be fallacious, to be sure. If people want more QoL features, I say they play retail, or play a different game. sharing paladin seals that were Ally or Horde only back in the day), but that's opened the door to more insidious changes in the form of monetization. Now we have changes to the gameplay (e.g. That validated Blizz to implement "fixes" and "improvements". They didn't like world buffs and limited class diversity. Normies came in and did their normie shit over the course of the vanilla lifecycle, though. This was why people got on the "No changes" train when legit vanilla servers were announced. Makes me sick seeing them extend that ethos to TBC (which requires next to zero creative work to implement). Still, Activision & Blizz are on a rampage with over-monetizing games into which they put little effort.
